Project Page: 🤍hackedexistence.com/project/raspi/django-on-raspberry-pi.html This tutorial covers installing Django on a Raspberry Pi. We use the scripts provided by phalt on his github page here: 🤍github.com/phalt/DjangoPi. After installing, we go over the process of configuring Django 1.7, gunicorn, supervisor and nginx. All of the config files can be copied and pasted directly from the Hacked Existence page above.
Hi github no longer works :(
Django pi permission denied
it asking username and password
what can i do for that??
you cut the whole nginx section out of the video////
I'm having issues getting this to work. these 3 lines of code give me an error. I've looked throguh everything and it's all as you've said. I wrote everything write. I can't figure out what's wrong or how to fix it.
$ sudo supervisorctl reread
$ sudo supervisorctl update
$ sudo supervisorctl status
And the Django page won't load. PLEASE HELP! It stopped loading after I completed this step
$ sudo service nginx restart
ok just got django v1.9.5 saying its working - I used the git below from Matt but to run it I used sudo bash setup.sh - then there was a fault which asked me to manually run sudo dpkg --configure -a and finally there was a fault in the setup.sh where the directory needed to be altered from DjangoPi to Django-Pi. about to reboot.... Thanks
The one git repo is 404'ed but this might work github.com/MathGon/Django-Pi github.com/MathGon/Django-Pi
one question, Even after rebooting the path that is output for which python is still /usr/bin/python instead of /home/pi/bin/python. If i activate virtualenv then the path output is /home/pi/env/bin/python. Could you point out why this is so and if i need to correct this?
Well the github repo is no longer available.......github.com/phalt/DjangoPi github.com/phalt/DjangoPi . Will have to see how to solve the problem without this..Thx anyway..
AWESOME!!! I appreciate the time you took to make and post this. I have my new Pi 2 and I'm itching to get my Pi Django site up and running. I'm also into the home automation as which I think that's what you were pointing at with the reference to the GPIO on the Pi board. Anywho thx again and look forward to your other projects..
I can't reply to your comment for some reason Gabriel... But for anyone else interested: sourcegraph.com/github.com/phalt/DjangoPi sourcegraph.com/github.com/phalt/DjangoPi
Hi, thank you for this video. Do you think this tutorial can work on my Ubuntu desktop before I buy a Raspberry ?
"We use the scripts provided by phalt on his github page here: github.com/phalt/DjangoPi github.com/phalt/DjangoPi ." --> This page is not found (error 404), is it importante for a noob like me ?
So many possibilities! thanks for this tutorial
